RecipesI was just frying up some meat for a goulash for supper and had on CTV's Balance........ They prepared what looks like a keeper to me.
Pre-heat oven to 400
Gently sautee one or two firm bananas in butter until lightly browned, toast some pecans or other nut you like. Combine the two and add a little maple syrup or crystallized maple for sweetness.
Take two or three sheets of Filo/Phylo Pastry, brush with clarified butter.
Place the banana/nut mixture on the pastry, and roll like a spring roll.
Sprinkle with maple sugar or brown sugar.
Place on baking sheet, and bake for 10 to 15 min. until pastry is golden.
Cut on the diagonal and serve with whipped cream,creme fresh, a sauce, some berries, or just plain.
