This is the recipe for the that were served at the Ocean Rose on the B&B tour. A number of you wanted the recipe. Very easy to make.
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup oil
1 egg
2/3 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
Heat oven to 350. Grease an 8 inch square cake pan.
Combine sugar, oil, egg and vanilla and beat well with wooden spoon or on low speed with electric mixer. Sift dry ingredients together into mixture and blend well. Blend in nuts and butterscotch chips.
Spread with spatula in prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes or until top springs back when touched lightly. Cut into squares while warm.
