With you folks in the middle of winter you might enjoy this simple but yummy recipe.

Curried Parsnip Soup

Melt 75g butter
Add 1tsp garlic crushed
1tsp Curry powder
Peel & slice about 500g (1lb) Parsnip
Add & cook 5 mins
Add 1.1/2 cups water & 2 tsp instant chicken stock
Cook till tender
Puree & add up to 3 cups milk.

You wont guess it is parsnip
I also make this with kumara.
