Our Canada Bed and BreakfastRecipes

A recipe that I've been devouring for years at the in-laws and finally begged the recipe.

Curry Crab Dip

1 pound of crab. Use either fresh crab (this is the best) or canned crab (3 cans)
1/2 cup of mayonaise
1 large cream cheese square
1 teaspoon curry powder (more if you like it hot...)
1 teaspoon of turmeric
3 green onions chopped
one 5-ounce can of water chestnuts, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/3 cup of candied ginger, chopped and 3 tablespoons of ginger syrup Buy the candied ginger that comes in a glass jar. The liquid that the ginger is in is the ginger syrup.
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
shot of Tabasco sauce

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Bake in oven for 15-20 min at 350F or high in a microwave oven for 3-4 minutes, but let it sit to reset the cheese.

Serve with Wheat Thin crackers.
