Notice: no eggs
2 cups flour
1 cup margarine
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups rolled oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup coconut
1/4 cup boiling water
1 tsp vanilla 1 package Chipits (3/4 c.)
Sift flour and salt. Add oats and coconut. Cream margarine and brown sugar
in
another bowl.
Dissolve baking soda in boiling water. Gradually stir into creamed mix. Add
vanilla.
Slowly mix in flour, etc. and (finally) stir in chocolate chips.
Drop on cookie sheet. Bake 350' for 12-15 minutes. Makes 6 dozen (depending
on amount of dough eaten prior to baking procedure!)
