Nut and Fruit Breakfast Bites (granola bars)

This is a Weight Watchers recipe. It is delicious. The recipe calls for reduced-calorie margerine. Since I had some Becel I used it, but I think it would be even better with butter, because, unless kept refrigerated, they stay fairly soft. With butter they would firm up a bit better.

1/3 cup reduced-calorie margerine or butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/4 cup dried mixed fruit (raisins, apples, cranberries, peaches, pears, apricots)
1 3/4 cup old fashioned oats, coarseley crushed (did it with a hand chopper)
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or other nuts.

Combine margerine/butter, sugar and honey in sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

In large bowl combine rest of ingredients. Add cooked mixture and mix thoroughly until no dry particles left.

Press mixture into bottom of 9 inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Allow to cool (in fridge) and cut into 16 pieces. Store in covered container in fridge.

TIP: To make cutting up dried fruit a breeze coat knife with cooking spray.

TIP: When pressing into pan coat back of spoon with cooking spray.

While typing this up, I realized I forgot to put the cinnamon in. Didn't miss it.
Served them with breakfast, well received.
