Pear and Candied Ginger Tart

This is really good and pears are everywhere right now.

Crust: 1C flour;1/3C sugar:1/2C butter;1/4C sliced almonds.

Filling: 4oz. cream cheese; 1/2C sugar;2eggs;1/2C+3Tbsp. cream(18%); 2Tbsp chopped candied ginger(or more); 1/2tsp.vanilla; 3-4 ripe pears peeled cored and sliced.

Preheat oven to 400deg. Combine crust ingredients till they resemble coarse crumbs. Turn into a tart pan with removable base.( I just use a spring form pan)Press evenly over bottom and up sides. Bake for 15 min. or till pale golden. Set aside. Reduce oven to 350deg.
In a medium bowl beat cream cheese till smooth, beat in sugar and eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Stir in cream, ginger and vanilla. Arrange pear slices over the base and pour the cream cheese/ginger mixture evenly over them. Place on baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool then remove from pan.
