Approx 1kg rhubarb (to make 600g trimmed)
300g caster sugar
1 litre vodka
- 1 x 2 litre jar & 1 x 1 litre bottle
Chop rhubarb and divide it between 2 jars. Add 150g sugar to each jar, put
lids on and shake well. Unclip lids and pour 500ml vodka (nigella says she uses
the cheapest she can find) into each to fill. Add more if needed.
Close lids, put jars somewhere cool and dark for at least 6 weeks and up to
6 months. If you remember shake jars every day or every other day for the first
month or so.
Strain into jug then pour into a bottle.
Very medicinal I think.
