Recipes4 large apples,(not Macs) quartered, peeled and sliced.
1 tblsp cornstarch
1 tblsps lemon juice
1/3 c cinnamon hearts
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Place apples in pie plate, sprinkle with remaining ingredients then gently stir with a rubber spatula.
Place in steamer and steam until cinnamon hearts are melted, stirring 3 or 4 times during steaming.
Place in bowl and cool. Serve with yogurt and granola or reheat to use as topping for french toast, waffles or pancakes. No syrup is required, as there is a sauce with the apples.
