The name comes from the Strathisla Distillery where Chivas Regal is made and is in Keith, Banffshire, Scotland, the hometown of Marilyn's grandmother.
500 ml whipping cream
6 meringues
1/4 cup (or to taste - but not too much more) Chivas Regal [or other highland
whiskey]
Whip cream till fairly stiff and add whiskey while beating. Break meringues into small bits and fold into whipping cream.
This is a fast, light (in texture - not in calories!), easy to make dessert.
