Strawberry/Rose Water Sauce

Found a recipe I had saved from Prevention magazine and it was a fruit salad using rose water. Its says to use 2 tsp so much less than what I was thinking of.

This is what I have done for my Mothers Day treat.

We are having homemade waffles with fresh strawberries and real whipped cream and real maple syrup with maple sausages, fruit salad, carrot cake with cream cheese icing for dessert, and this sauce I made up.( below)

It's a warm strawberry sauce to pour over the waffles.

I gently boiled the strawberries, cut up of course in some orange juice and some sugar. Then I added only about 1 tsp of rose water and 2 tablespoons of thick cream once cooled. It made an awesome sauce, I took the blender and mixed it and it tastes awesome, looks thick and creamy and tastes strawberry with just a hint of rose. MMM.

Ingredients:
1 cup diced strawberries
1/2 cup oj
¼ cup water
¼ cup sugar
Once gently boiled awhile and strawberries go soft, cool a bit then add:
1 tsp rose water
2 tablespoons thick cream.

Could use this to drizzle over yogurt, fruit salad, crepes, pancakes…..
